ART in PARK HOTEL TOKYO 2017

The contemporary art fair ART in PARK HOTEL TOKYO 2017 (AiPHT) will be held in Park Hotel Tokyo located in Shiodome on the weekend of February 11 – 12, 2017 (A preview will be held on Friday, February 10). For the second installment, the total of 39 galleries (Tokyo-based: 13, Non-Tokyo-based: 23, Taiwan-based: 2, South Korea-based: 1) will participate in AiPHT 2017, under the same theme as the previous fair “The Past and Future of Contemporary Art”. Established galleries, that formed the foundation of the Japanese art scene, and mid-career galleries, that are introducing upcoming artists, will present their most recommended artworks in the hotel rooms arranged as galleries.
One of the characteristics of this fair is the participation of many galleries from outside of Tokyo. Accomplished galleries based in the Kansai region, South Korea and Taiwan will introduce artists and their artworks, that are rarely exhibited in Tokyo. Another characteristic of this fair is that it utilizes the hotel rooms, which helps the fair guests to imagine having artworks in their home. This fair will be a perfect chance to experience art in an intimate setting and discover artworks that are special to every guest.
