This era is under attack, facing serious confrontations. For those involved with art and artists there is one question, whether or not art can seriously become the messenger of courage and hope. This big question has left me shaken, in my opinion this is something extremely needed and wanted in art. This thirst that I have for art fuses my body and soul together but it will never heal. Once again I wandered into the city looking for a location that I could call “My gallery”.
Kazuki established “Gallery Kazuki” there in 1991. She began performing in works that combine rodoku recitation and buto performance dance in 1997. Adopting the slogan that “galleries are theaters, paintings are their silent actors” in it’s manifesto, she opened “Gekkai no Kajitsukai” in Harajuku in 2009. She then went on to establish “Gallery Kazuki” in Ginza in 2011. Was appointed Executive Director of Art Fair Asia in 2016.
The gallery has become a bridge between art and the future which makes it fruitful space for the Art Society.
