Nishijin Textile Center, where ART OFFICE OZASA is located, was established by the Nishijin Textile Industry Association as one of the Nishijin 500th anniversary commemoration projects. It is architecture that is a symbolic of Kyoto Nishijin completed in 1976 to disseminate Nishijin, a traditional Japanese beauty to the world widely.
ART OFFICE OZASA has a gallery (ozasakyoto) and an office on the 1st and 2nd floors of the Nishijin Industry Center, which is the western pavilion of this historic Nishijin Textile Center.
We are introducing contemporary art in the exhibition space that has a wall with 4 meters height and a sense of tension and serenity that a 50-year-old solid concrete building produces.
We have conviction that these distinctive exhibition spaces make your art experience even more profound as the gift of the prosperity leading to Nishijin textile's contemporary.
